Dr. Serguei Smaguine
Born 28 November, 1948,
in Moscow, Russian Federation (Soviet Union at that time).
Graduated from Moscow Lomonosov State University (MSU) in 1971.
PhD. in mathematics from MSU in 1974.
Associate professor of applied mathematics since 1979.
In 1974-1988 assistant professor, associate professor of applied mathematics in Moscow University for Civil Engineering (MISI at that time).
In 1988-1991, worked a vice-director for computer science of Research Institute for Economics, Management and Informatics (NIIEKIN at that time).
In 1991-1992, organised a Russian-Dutch joint venture company Nicotech Ltd.
Director of Nicotech Ltd. from 1992 until March 1999; gained big expertise and experience on telework in IT area with different countries, teleworking technologies and problems.
Author of more than 50 scientific papers and training courses in pure and applied mathematics, numerical methods, computer science and related issues, scientific editor of several books.
Manager of IST project TELESOL.
